ss Truck display, Model Train exhibits, Sammy the 29ft. snow plow, Gri
nch Scavenger Hunt and much more!  Each year we partner with schools
in the community to have students decorate a themed Christmas Tree wit
h ornaments they create.   Guests vote on their favorites throughout
the holiday season.   The top 3 schools will receive gift cards.\nW
e’ve got a few new surprises for 2015!\nFirst, Chitty Chitty Bang B
ang – the US National Broadway Tour prop car!   Chitty Chitty Ban
g Bang is based upon a vintage racing car that was featured in many fo
rms including the original novel by Ian Fleming, movie and stage produ
ctions. The inspiration for Chitty came from early racing cars and the
sound that these cars made as they were started which sparked the ide
a for the name.\nThis prop car has many interesting details and functi
oning stage tricks. It has 15 separate circuits which control the car
s own theatrical lighting, both interior and exterior. The tires til
t 45 degrees and rotate and of course she has her wings! There will be
sessions planned where guests will be able to see the operation of so
me of these tricks during the time the car is on display – check bac
k for specific dates/times of these demos.  This fascinating vehicle
is on loan from Mr. Tony Garofalo  who has been a life-long collector
of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang memorabilia ever since he saw the movie at
its premiere showing, Christmas 1968 at Radio City Music Hall.   Alo
ng with this prop car there will be additional memorabilia items on di
splay including several toy versions of the famous Chitty flying car m
ade by both the Corgi British toys 1968, 1:43 scale model and the beau
tiful Stevenson Toy company released in 2005 for the Broadway stage th
eatrical production 1:18 scale model toy car along with photos of Tony
Garofalo with Dick Van Dyke and the famous movie Clown Costume to nam
e a few. \nHave you ever dreamed of a GIANT pedal car? One that you
could actually drive?  We’ve got one!  This one-of-a-kind creation
has a body made from fiberglass with a steel under structure.  The c
reator, Dan Hryhorcoff, decided to copy a recognizable toy car and mak
e it GIANT size.  This car is made with inspiration of the “Murray
General” pedal car, also known as the “Murray Sad Face”.  Even
more amazing is that this pedal car is  drivable!   A 1997 V6 3 litr
e Ford Ranger was the donor vehicle.   The necessary parts were stri
pped down to separate components, cleaned and reassembled in an arrang
ement suitable for the pedal car dimensions and structure.   The bod
y was created in sections first sculpted in styrofoam and plaster (in
the positive).  Then fiberglass molds were made for (the negatives) f
rom these sculptings.  From those molds came the fiberglass panels (t
he positives) that make up the car body.  The owner, Dan wanted the c
ar to be legally driven on Pennsylvania roads and still have the large
center mounted steering wheel, a signature part of a pedal car.  To
accomplish this the car was built with two driving positions.  One wi
th the center mount oversize steering wheel and center mounted gas and
brake pedal, and a second left hand driving position with a smaller s
tandard size steering wheel and accompying gas and brake pedals.  In
August of this year the owner received his PA title and registration p
late making it street legal.\n\nFor more information visit https://nor
