 vehicle to Dr. E. Pfenning, a physician from Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Pf
 enning's Model A was shipped to him on July 28, 1903. The 1903 Ford Mo
 del A was a simple machine with a 2-cylinder engine, producing eight h
 orsepower and could reach 30 miles per hour (only on smooth roads, whi
 ch were rare indeed!) Since those first Model As in 1903, Ford Motor C
