DESCRIPTION:The International Motor Racing Research Center is planning
  some mid-winter fun with a road trip to the Area Auto Racing News Ind
 oor Auto Racing Championship Series competition in Albany on Saturday,
  Feb. 10.\n\nReservations deadline to join the trip is Jan. 12.\n \nI
 ndoor Auto Racing features TQ Midget and Slingshot racers.\n \nTQ M
 idgets are purpose built open wheel cars powered by 636 or 750cc motor
 cycle engines modified for indoor racing. They develop top speeds in e
 xcess of 75 mph. TQs weigh approximately 825 pounds.\n \nSlingshots a
 re mini-Modifieds, and, in theory, are all identical. Each comes from 
 one central source, Speedway Entertainment, and each uses a 600 V Twin
  Briggs & Stratton engine. Very few variants to the “spec” car a
 re permitted, according to Area Auto Racing News.\n \nThe road trip w
 ill offer round-trip, motorcoach transportation, with pick-up points i
 n Horseheads and Binghamton, and reserved seating at Albany’s Times 
 Union Center. Doors open at 5 p.m., with racing heats starting at 7 p.
 m.\n \nPrices are $95 for current IMRRC members and $120 for non-memb
 ers.\n \nReservations may be made by calling the IMRRC at (607) 535-9
