Summer just wouldn’t be summer without the annual Latimore Valley Fair…a true country festival where the new mingles with the old during three days of old fashion fun and entertainment. * FREE PARKING – FREE ADMISSION- FREE SHUTTLE*
The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) sponsors this fair, along with local businesses and individuals. For 32 years dedicated volunteers and organizations have made this fair a success.
Friday, June 23rd, will begin with an antique tractor parade at 6 p.m. then, the southern rock band “Smokin’ Gunzz” from 7-10 p.m.
Saturday, June 24th the gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. A full day of activities, including breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. by the local York Springs Cub Scouts, Pack 89. Antique race car registration starts at 9 a.m.; the cars will be on the track from 11:30 to 3 p.m. The Carroll County 4H Rabbit & Cavy club are bringing their obstacle coursetrained bunnies and will have a petting area with an assortment of animals. The antique tractor parade starts at 4:30 p.m. The entertainment this evening will be “Border Line” playing new and classic country music from 5 p.m. till 10:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 25th, the scouts serve breakfast again from 8 to 11 a.m. Racers for Christ will give a non-denominational worship service at 9:30 a.m. We will be having a “Cruise-In” on Sunday from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. There will be special parking in the pit area for those in their Classic Cars, Muscle Cars, Street Rods, and Drag Racing Cars to enjoy the band “Trio Agave” with special guest “Happy Sally” who will play from 12:30 p.m. till 3:30 p.m. At 2 p.m. there will be cackling thunder with drag car start-ups; bring your ear plugs!
All weekend there will be crafts, games, Bingo, entertainment, duck races, good food, tractor parades and displays, antique cars, and cruise-in. What more do you need!
The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and the Museum Gift Shop will be open during the fair. Plan to spend some time enjoying these free exhibits.
