An official Path Through History Site. The largest car museum in the Northeast with over 200 cars, trucks and motorcycles on display. An educational facility that collects, preserves, and exhibits vehicles related to the evolution of transportation, including examples of the first electric cars, steam cars and the internal combustion engine. 5 buildings, all one level with wheel chair accessible entry. Electric Scooters are available at no charge. Exibits include, pre war, post war, military airplane engines, muscle cars, as well as vehicles made in New York state, including the Chenango Camper, made in Norwich, NY. The largest display of Franklin luxury cars, with air cooled engines made in Syracuse, NY. Most are displayed in show room condition, and 2 are available for hands-on experience. Period fashions. WWl and WWll aircraft engines and period videos to enhance the experience. The museum also features an exhibit to the Bennett- Ireland companies, a major manufacturers in Norwich in the 20th century. Themed exhibits change annualy in May. Have your photo taken in the Model T, and visit our gift shop full of new and vintage diecast, books, toys and clothing. Over 12,000 visitors a year. AAA general attraction. Opened it's doors on Memorial Day, 1997.
