All our prior Fight for the Cure shows have benefitted CHOP. Although they are a great organization and hospital and create miracles everyday, we felt that the money we raise at this event would make a world of difference to a local family with a child in need.

With that being said this years beneficiary of the 6th Annual Wicked Effects Car Club's Fight for the Cure will be Travis Cook.

Travis is an amazing 12 year old boy with an inoperable brain tumor. In speaking with his family and friends Travis is not only a fighter and survivor, he is also a helper. Travis is currently undergoing Chemo therapy and he has been fortunate enough that he has not lost his hair. So he decided to grow it long so he could donate it to Locks of Love so another survivor could use it. In my eyes Travis is a hero for such a noble gesture. 

Looking through his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/smilesfortravis1 ) you can see Travis is full of joy and high spirits bringing laughter to all his friends in an out of the hospital. Travis attends many benefits for childhood cancer although not many benefits are held in his honor. Even when I spoke to his mother Beth Caruso Cook I found out he even made an appearance at our last "Fight for the Cure" show to check out all the cars and to show support for the cure for cancer. 

This young man is a warrior of the "Fight for the Cure" lets show him the love and support that he has shown to many others he has met during his stay at CHOP.
