Event Description
Come to the Fort for Trunk or Treat to see some cool cars and get some candy! Sat. Oct 05 2024 at 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm.
At 4pm, Join Cobleskill Town Historian Pete Lindemann as he leads a tour of the Old Stone Fort Cemetery.
You’ll learn about the body that lies beneath the pulpit of the church-turned-fortress, hear about the mysterious missing soldier atop the Civil War monument, see pictures of the ten county men who died in Vietnam, and touch the monument of the incorruptible patriot David Williams, who was finally laid to rest at the Old Stone Fort on our nation’s centennial, having been dug up twice and buried thrice.
This will be an abbreviated version of the popular tour Mr. Lindemann gave last fall.
