1901. Henry Ford, just forced out of his automotive venture, the Detroit Automobile Co. ( soon to be renamed Cadillac by the new master mechanic, Henry Leyland...but that is another story! ), enters a race presented by the Detroit Driving Club. The grand prize was $1,000 but the favorite was one of the best drivers in the country, Alexander Winton, in his well developed and best selling Winton car. See the rest of the story in the video section:The Race That Changed Everything.
RSVP for Henry Ford Beats Alexander Winton allowing Ford to start his new company to add comments!
