HotRod Jen brings a diversity of art mediums for view at the AACA Museum!
From photography to pinstriping to drawing and glass mosaics Jen enjoys all forms of art.
Jennifer Thomas, aka “HotRod Jen,” comes from generations of artists and gearheads. She grew up with a talent for art and enjoyed spending time at classic car shows in New Jersey, where she was born. In high school, Jen combined her two passions and began focusing all her art—drawings, paintings and photography—on subjects in the car world. It was then that Jen won the Congressional Art Competition with her pastel drawing of two classic cars a 1942 Ford business coupe and a 1937 Dodge, an accomplishment that propelled her to start showing more of her work.
In 2004, while on the car show circuit with her art, Jen got her first can of 1 Shot, a special kind of paint used for pinstriping on cars. Over the next few years, she would learn and practice pinstripe design. Traveling around the East Coast, pinstriping at car shows and doing custom pinstripe panels, Jen began incorporating motifs from the things that inspire her—especially the Art Deco period, traditional tattoo art and nature—into her designs. Jen strives for symmetry, clean lines, and design flow in her work.
Jen is now an internationally known artist; her artwork is featured on cars and motorcycles across the nation and hanging on walls all around the world, and her photography has appeared in magazines like Autoweek, Rodders Journal, Traditional Rod and Kulture, and Hemmings Muscle Machines. Residing in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Jeremiah, Jen travels the country, attending pinstriping and sign-painting workshops and participating in “panel jams” with fellow artists to raise money for various charities.
All of HotRod Jen’s art on display is for sale. If you are interested in purchasing a piece, please call the Museum Retail Store at
