I bought the G in 1968. It didn't take too long to get the engine rebuilt. Probably a month. After we got married I got drafted into the U.S. Army. The G went with us to Hunstville Alabama, then to Colorado Springs and then back to PA when I was sent overseas to Turkey. After I got out of the Army we bought a house with no garage. that was in 1976. I continued driving the G and then we had a 2nd car and with the G needing some repairs it just sat there, outside.  Without a garage I knew that to save the G I had to sell it.

It was a very sad day when the G  left for Florida.

Great story, Charlie. How long did it take you to get her on the road? Why did you sell her?

When I bought the " G " I paid $200.00. It was towed in to the garage where I worked part time. It had a blown engine. Spun a bearing. My dad was a mechanic at a Chrysler dealer so we rebuilt the engine. The "G " was from New York City and the previous owner removed the Crossrams.

I sold the car in 1985 to a guy in Florida for $800.00. I drove the " G "onto the car trailer. The "G " was filled with all my spare parts. The trunk was filled as well as the entire passenger compartment. More parts were put under the car.

I always had the 300 Fever so I bought the Black G that I am trying to restore.

My daily driver in a 2005 Chrysler 300C. Love that car ...Love that Hemi.
