Binghamton Spiedie Fest, Balloon Rally and Car Show is a 3 day event,  August, 1,2,3,  Sponsored by Tioga Downs Casino,  featuring hot air balloon rally, and launches, cook offs, car show, national celebrity's, vendors, music and much more. Binghamton Rotary Cool Car & Truck Show or as it is known for 2025 "Speedyfest" Car Show, 

Even if you’re not a “car guy,” you’ll want to see this! Our show has hundreds of vehicles dating all the way back to the 1920s in all kinds of shapes and colors.

Don’t just come once! The vehicles will be different on Saturday and Sunday. You’ll want to see both shows! Trophies are awarded each day for “Best of” in the following categories: GM, Mopar, Ford, Street Rod, Muscle, Truck, Van, Rat Rod, Stock, Production, Domestic Tunerz, All Original, 4×4, Engine, Paint and Electric.

Piston trophies are back for all the classes. The Corning Museum of Glass has made our hand blown “Best of Show” trophies for each day’s winners! Motorcycles welcome too!

With its humble beginnings as a small community event, Spiedie Fest has grown into a beloved tradition that attracts thousands of visitors each year to Binghamton, NY.
History! 
In 1983, a few families got together and argued over who had the best spiedies recipe in Binghamton. To put an end to their friendly rivalry, they held the first Spiedie Fest Cooking Contests in subsequent years.

In 2001, the festival was recognized by the Library of Congress with a Legacy Award and today a Spiedie Fest display resides in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. In 2005, the festival was named one of the 100 Destinations in the U.S. by Destination Magazine.

Over the last three decades, with tremendous support from the community, Spiedie Fest has grown from its origins as a spiedie cook-off to include hot air balloons, musical acts, family entertainment, a 5k run/walk, volleyball tournament, car show and dozens of food and merchandise vendors.

Last year Spiedie Fest was featured in The New York Times.

Spiedie Fest is now a showcase of the best Broome County has to offer.
