Once again, its time to put aside the date, Sunday, May 17th for your opportunity to browse, search and find that hidden gem at the Carl Maratta Auto Swap Meet and Car Corral. The event starts with vendor sign in at 6:00AM at Rentschler Field, 615 Silver Lane, East Hartford, and goes to 3:00PM in the afternoon.  Rain or shine the show goes on!

You’ll find an assortment of vehicles for sale, from that classic ‘78 Firebird, to a ‘66 Mustang,!  And of course the parts.. tons!!! Individual auto parts, race parts, tools, toys, memorabilia, motorcycles, even boats and ATV’s.  Its’ also a great opportunity to talk shop and bench racing with many of those with the same interest. Vendor registration can be found on our website at www.c-maratta-swap.com, and there is even a $10.00 registration savings, if you sign up before May 10th.

As a bonus, how many times have you been to these events, and find the spectator parking lot has some of the hottest cruise vehicles on the road?  We’re promoting this with a Car Corral... Bring your pre 1980 vehicle to the event, and you’ll be admitted Free (driver only, please.)  That’s right, whether you show up in you Wiley’s B/Gasser, or ‘78 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon, you qualify for our Car Corral, and we award Trophies too!  

Last year we awarded trophies for the best Hot Rod/Rat Rod, Muscle Car, Cruiser/Antique.... as well as neatest car we’d like to drive on the road.  We even have a class for Connecticut Dragway Retro racer, so bring in that awesome racer you’ve had hidden in the garage.

To be determined, we always have a special guest with their racer to do what we call a sonic drag.... a start up and a wake up call of eight mighty cylinders pumping away in their full glory. An awesome sight...AND SOUND!

The show is sponsored and presented by Carl Maratta, son of Frank Maratta original founder of the Maratta Hartford Autorama, as well as the Connecticut Drag strip.  Carl, growing up in this fast paced drag racing world, continues the tradition today, by sponsoring not only this nostalgic look back, but by presenting a great opportunity to keep the joy of car collecting, parts chasing and cruising with your car active.

Spectators are admitted for $10.00, children under twelve are free, and again, if you drive that classic cruiser, your admitted FREE.
