The Checker Car Club of America invites you to the most exciting car show of the year. Nearly 50 vintage Checker Cabs, Cars and Limousines will be on display at our free public event on Friday June 20, 2014 on Box Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Returning to New York City after 20 years, Checker Car Club members will be on hand to show and talk about their cars. The cabs, cars and limos are coming to the Big Apple from states as far away as Wahington, Florida, Kentucky and Michigan. A dozen or so will be from the New York area.

New Yorkers and visitors will be able to relive fond memories of Checker taxi rides whether going to the airport, attending a wedding or painting the town with their friends. The show will be fun for the whole family. Stroll among the cars while listening to live bands and enjoying a hot dog, popcorn or ice cream cone.

Box Street is easy to reach from almost anywhere in the city. Take the G train to Greenpoint Avenue or the 7 to Vernon/Jackson. Or, take the East River Ferry to India Street, Greenpoint. A ride on the B24, B32, B43 or B62 bus lines to Manhattan Avenue by Freeman Street will also get you there. Detailed directions are available  on our web site at www.checker2014.com.
